Stock Up! Guide to Buying School Supplies

“And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.”
-2 Corinthians 9:8

Buying School Supplies for Faith Formation
Here at Building Faith, we love passing on helpful tips and advice. Today we are pleased to share a guide written by Lacy Rabideau, from her blog called Catholic Icing. In this guide, Lacy offers helpful tips for buying school supplies. Whether you need supplies for Sunday school, youth ministry, school, or home, this guide will help you save money, and get the best items. As Lacy explains:

“I’m always on the hunt for a bargain. I’m going to let you know when making arts and crafts with your kids, where you can cut corners, and where you need to splurge.”

Where to Save and When to Splurge
For example, Lacy recommends buying ‘on-brand’ crayons and markers, as the cheap versions don’t work and won’t last. One the other hand, for items like ribbon, tape, and glitter Lacy suggests going with the cheapest option available! Finally, for items like colored pencils and scissors, you should spend the extra money for good quality supplies that will work great and last.

Remember that August is a great time to stock up on supplies, as back-to-school sales help you save!
