What is Episcopal Teacher?
Locke E Bowman, Jr. (1927-2013), professor of Christian Education and Pastoral Theology at Virginia Theological Seminary established the Center for the Ministry of Teaching (CMT) in 1986. The CMT offered courses for clergy and laity, established a Master of Arts in Christian Education degree, and produced both curriculum and the periodical, Episcopal Teacher. Selected articles from the most recent issues are available on Building Faith, which carries on this important work of equipping people to teach the faith. Bishop Payne Library has an extensive collection.
