SERVICE & OUTREACH

SERVICE & OUTREACH

Service involves fulfilling the call of Christian faith to love our neighbors as ourselves and to strive for justice and peace among all people. It encompasses what church members are sent from the table out into the world to do: to minister with and to people in our neighborhoods and beyond in and through the love of God in tangible as well as nontangible ways.

Outreach often refers to specific ways of building relationships between a faith community and its neighborhood or beyond. It can take the form of partnerships, collaborations, programs, resourcing, financial or material support, and more.
