ORDINARY TIME

PENTECOST

Ordinary Time is the season between Pentecost and Advent. In this context, “ordinary” doesn’t mean “regular,” as in unimportant, but means “ordinal numbers” to indicate that’s how we keep track of time in this season. The season after the Feast of the Epiphany is also ordinary time and reflects the meaning of Jesus’ incarnation.
